A Story From: Dale Harris (cadaver@evcom.net)

Let's see, when I first started to play Doom when it first came out I thought that single-player was the trick! I never even heard of this so-called deathmatching stuff, what was it?...how do you do it? I had other questions but no one could answer them. Somehow I found a local BBS that had this program called "game connection"...hmmm. It said you could play from 2-4 players in coop and deathmatch, I had to try it! After signing up with the local BBS to play and much time learning how to set it up and the such I finally got into a deathmatch experience for the first time and got utterly destroyed!!

Man!! Did I get humbled, after that I vowed to get better and before you know it I was getting better and destroying people that used to kick my ass! I them met up with "Myscha the Sled-dog" and boy was that guy good, he showed me what life was all about in deathmatching. I got alot of ass whippings from that guy, eventually we became good friends. There was nothing like logging on to my BBS and getting into a 4-player fragfest using the Dwango levels and the Danzig series!! I even played on Dwango for a while...got expensive though! I even went on to obtain the coveted title of "Doom2 GrandMaster" through DHT5 standards! Long live Doom!!!
