
So what's this all about then?
This mod started out fairly innocently. I was experimenting with the Episode One style,
as I will be using the E1 style in Chapter Two of the Doom Chronicles. I can't remember
exactly what made me put in a countdown timer, but when it was in place I thought,
hmmz, what if you got extra time when you killed enemies? That would almost make it
feel like you were playing an arcade game...
Needless to say (after some bug reporting for the latest beta of ZDoom), the practice map
soon turned in to a side project aimed at re-creating the Doom experience with an arcade-game
feel. At the current moment, Episode One is being worked on. See this text file to see just what needs to be done.
This mod is being designed for ZDoom v1.23 (at least beta 28) and will require doom2.wad to play. The completed WAD will come with the contents of the old DOOM1-2.WAD so that I can give the maps a Doom 1 feel.
