ZDoomGL
ZDoomGL is an OpenGL port of ZDoom, an advanced DooM sourceport. ZDoom itself supports many things not seen in the original Doom, like looking up and down, jumping, high resolutions, advanced map editing tools (from Hexen) and much more.

ZDoomGL adds much more to the cool stuff ZDoom has. The main thing being OpenGL support, which improves the performance and visual quality. OpenGL also paves the way for much more in the 'eye candy' department. ZDoomGL has dynamic lighting, lens flares, and best of all, MD2 3d models support!

Author/s
ZDoomGL is DoomGL ported to ZDoom. The original DoomGL is made by Kokak, and thus, so is ZDoomGL.

At the moment, Kokak has no time to work with ZDoomGL, and it has been picked up by Timmie, who is continuing with ZDoomGL.

Most of the md2 models were made by Edmundo Bordeu. Some of them were done by SlayeR, and some are from the Son Of Generations mode for Quake 2.

Requirements
To run ZDoomGL, you will, most importantly, need a video card that supports OpenGL. Most modern cards should, so if your computer is relatively new, you can safely bet your video card will work with ZDoomGL.

Secondly, you will need a copy of ZDoom v1.22. Make sure you get version 1.22. ZDoomGL will not work with any earlier / later version.

Finally, you may want to also download the 3d models for ZDoomGL. Md2s are optional. If you do not wish to use them, remember to start ZDoomGL with the -nomd2 parameter. If not, ZDoomGL will crash with an error message saying that the md2s cannot be found.
