  Saturday, December 30th

Snake Cage [7:00pm EST]

Not much going on today. I finally got a picture of my snage cage, so for everyone wondering what the hell it is, click here. I'm standing in front of two plexiglass doors, and the purple inside (on the back inside) is an air hole covered with some chicken-wire for good air flow. Turned out pretty good, partly due to my expierence with DOOM level editing. I was able to imagine what I wanted to do next and plan it out in my head, just like most of my level design.

Been programming a forum for work too. I need to get back to the QDOOM stuff. I've put it off some while waiting for some engine updates, so once I get done with the forum, I'll get back on it. I have E3M3 figured out pretty well, so it should be easy mapping.

I've noticed a lot of TC's and PC's have had problems with getting them finished. Starting is easy, making is difficult, finishing is near impossible. :)

A friend from Germany mailed me a music CD from Knorkator (The Schlechtst of Knorkator), and it's sweet! I don't listen much to what musicians have to say, so listening to German lyrics was just fine. I enjoyed them just as much as Rammstein.

Stuff [10:30am EST]

Been busy writing a javascript/DHTML powered application that imitates Windows Explorer, but it's usable for websites, like a photo gallery, documentation lists, or a sitemap. Works pretty good too. I still have a few features to add, and two bugs/major missing features (like drawing the dot trails correctly for folders nested more than two deep and folders that contain no files).

I also spent all day yesterday with my girlfriend at Sacred Heart Tattoo getting some more piercings, and she got a new tattoo. It was a lot of fun. :)

Not much else to update on right now, other than it's snowing today in Georgia. I love the snow, just with it would last longer like it used to in Boston. That was some kick ass snow.

QDOOM Progress [2:00am EST]

Quick update here. I've made some good progress with QDOOM the past week, almost done converting to the latest EDGE features, cleaning up all the previous levels, E3M2 is about 97% complete (just need to build the exit slipgate and script the events), E3M3 is pretty well planned out, and the showdown level has been well planned out for quite some time.

It should be ready to release with EDGE 1.25, dammit. :)
