I figure that TF2 has been cancelled; Valve just doesn't have the guts to tell their fanbase. They didn't show up for 2 E3's in a row, no one's heard any news about TF2 at all... JEEZ! I think software developers should stop telling people about upcoming games unless the game will be ready in like 2 weeks or something.

No doubt there will be Doom 3 Fortress, Doom 3 Strike, Doom 3 & Industry, Doom 3: Generations and all kinds of other unoriginal mods for the new game.
