Well, if id made a Quake 4, like the last three, the game would probably have NOTHING to do with any of the other ones. But it would be cool if they made a "sequal" to the original Quake..imagine that game with Doom3 powered GFX... {drools at that though} Anyway...comments please?

I'm sure whatever Quake4 turns out to be, it will be strictly MP focused. Probably the strongest competition against the only pure DM experience for the Xb0x : Unreal Championship.
HALO would screw them both, in my opinion. But that's just my judgement, in fact, I don't think HALO is THAT good. Seems like I'm the only "non HALO fan-boy" in the Universe...

Well, you ain't the only halo fan out there becasue I've never heard of the damn thing (::struggles to lift the rock ive been living under::).
I have always considered quake and doom to exist in the same dimension. Doom and doom2 were the first interstellar/dimensional war that the humans took part in, after the demons ransacked earth there was a dark age and the shub-niggurath demons found their opprotunity to strike. After humanity got back on it's toes again the stroggos found us, again humanity was almost brought to it's knees. After this, the technology afforded by the stroggos humanity might very well start colonizing space, which could give the original demons from the first war another chance to strike at the farthest reaches of human contact (in other words, whaaay the hell out in the middle of nowhere)...
This is just one cronological listing that makes sense to me that seems to fit everything together. Unreal and HL probably took place in a paralell dimension very close to that of doom. Quake3 was probably just a big championship thingy that was rigged by someone with alot of power who decided that all the most powerful fighters in the local area would make for a good entertainment special (...bringing you live to the front lines of the doom vs. klesk match... this combat arena includes a deadly cloud of caustic gas and some pretty powerful weapons... tonight's special should be exiting indeed...).
Experiment a little with the logic center of your brain before a zombie eats it.

Well...I've known about halo for about a year now, and Bungie STILL has NO PRODUCT to show after the countless movies and screenshots.
The game itself is starting to look a bit dated. The physics and models of the game are still looking good, but the engine is becoming to look very ugly, very quickly. Especially since the Doom3 engine movie at the MacWorld Expo stunned everybody.

have you played any of the expansions for quake? not that they are an actual sequal, but pretty cool...dissolution of eternity is worth a play...it's tough!

Scourge of Armagon was top-notch, better than Quake2 in almost every way. Possibly the best 3D "game" I have. Dissolution of Eternity was kinda shitty. The first episode was absolute crap. The second episode picked it up a good deal, but still looked like crap after playing the Egyptian episode of Hexen2.

That episode was damn near impossible though. Even I had to go to the store and read the guide a few times before I could get through it. I still don't remember how to do it. Whoever did the puzzles in that episode can bite me.
