I'm fiddling about with the imaging code in WadAuthor, and I need some specific situations to be able to test the changes. In short, I'm trying to accomodate multiple graphics PWADs the way they should have been supported since day one. To do this, however, I need a playable map for either DOOM or DOOM2 that relies upon graphics stored in more than one additional PWAD file. Can anyone make some good suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Multi-map pwads using multiple Doom textures?
No wads are stored here at Doomworld. Everyone uses cdrom.com (which is offline for next 10+ days).
Go here for list of cdrom.com "mirrors" that are STILL active....

Suggestion:
Boom-engine is 100% compatible with, runs all D1/D2 games, wads.
BOOM-wads have all Doom's graphics, plus tons more.
So your best place is TeamTNT site (creators of Boom/PrBoom).

Pick your wads, then download them using above mirror.

Sorry for the confusion, but I don't think you're answering the question I was trying to ask. Let me try to describe what I need again and see if that helps.

There are a couple of ways one generally adds new graphics to a wadfile project. One can just "override" the flats, panel data, etc. in the IWAD by supplying lumps in the PWAD with exactly the same name. Alternately, one can provide a full-blown new set of flats, sprites, etc. by providing the appropriate lumps. WadAuthor handles these new graphics just well enough to be functional most of the time. There are things that it doesn't do correctly at present, and it does not presently support having new graphics present in more than one wadfile.

What I need are some suggestions for wadfiles or sets thereof I can download that make heavy use of the various methods for getting new graphics into the game. One fellow has suggested Aliens TC, which I thought of already and dismissed because I thought its distribution had been stopped through threat of suit. Can you or others suggest similar sorts of projects that make use of new graphics yet run with the DOOM or DOOM ][ engine? Thanks!

Sorry for getting your request wrong. (Dummy <g>).
After reading your reply, I been looking for D1/D2-engined wads with multiple new graphics. So far no luck.
Everyone building wads with new graphics seems to be using the new engines.
I'll keep looking.
Doomworld staff Linguica n' Arioch can help you also if you ask.

Thanks! Any idea where I can get a copy? I thought it was banned after the film folks went after the creators.

Hell no. Try a cdrom.com mirror, in the themes section

ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub2/games/idgames

The sounds, textures, and sprites are all in seperate wads

By hell no, I mean it's not banned...
