I think wadauthor should work alot more like worldcraft for halflife because that would make multi-floor map making much more easy. I don't know if it's possible but if it is then do it!

I think the best editor would be combination of wadauthor and build for duke3d, have an option to use visual editing but not force you set textures that way like you have to with build would be great. Also build had a very fast way of adding/spliting/joining secotrs.

malti floors are almost inpossible with the doom engine. except for invisible bridges(witch are made by place items at a sertain height so the player can walk on the bridge and creating a a bunch of side defs that belong to the same sector so it creates the vissible bridge(witch you can see threw in it thou))

The doom engine does not support multifloors. Now zDoom has a way of doing it, but its kinda a trick, but as far as wad editing is concerned, a editor like worldcraft would not be practical for Doom wad editing.
