...does anyone here have experience with making Half-Life levels with WorldCraft? I want to try making HL levels, and I want to know the similarities between the design process (I mean, Doom has linedefs, sectors, vertices etc - does HL have anything like this?)

No, the games are completely different. Half-Life is based on the Quake games so uses brushes in a void space to build levels. You start with empty space, then using brushes (like building blocks) you piece them together to build your levels. Since it is a true 3D environment, you have three views: top, side and front (or back depending on the editor). It is a different way of thinking. You should look at the tutorials on the Rust site here on Telefragged.
