Ok, I got my Doom CD here...got it installed...wanna play zdoom, NOW..
There are a few patches out there, on the download thing I got the doom2p16.zip file, I followed the instructions...etc etc, but it gives me an error in the MSDOS prompt, it reads..
------Processing Patch File -----
Applying MODIFY file patch for 'DOOM2.EXE'
error ept0015: Old File does not exist
Now, if anyone could tell me what this means i'd appriciate it..also, the version date is 6-6-96...but in the properties it says the version is 3,0,0,0 ....help?????

what version is it currently, before you tried to apply the patch? it's also possible that you have doom 1 or ultimate doom, not doom2, check the iwad's name and the exe's name.

It is most certainly doom2..
and it worked, the doom wad is the proper size the readme file said it would be when everything is complete...thanks =)
