Thanks guys I appreciate the comments.
I do need to do a Doom story. I have been kicking some ideas around for a bit trying to come up with something that hasn't been done to death. Since the Doom books have been out (and being a self-taught writer I can't compete with the professionals; but I'm working on that :), I wanted to do something different rather than rehash the main story. I may do something set in DTNC. I'll let you know.

Wow, those forums are so colorful!
Anyways, I only read part 1 (I'm lazy) but that was pretty good. I liked the book for Sphere better but you got the authors of those lousy Independence Day and Dark City books beat. Speaking of that, you ought to write a *real* Doom novel and show up those other two morons who butchered Doom's name in the book industry.

Although you may not value my opinion as a "newbie", but as a person I must say from what I read that's some good stuff. I agree with stphrz' when he says some Doom ones would cool.
