for anyone that hasnt worked it out yet...
voting is taking place in britain today. if you dont know the main british political parties:
* Labour - the current government. Has been criticised for various reasons - some people arent happy with what they've achieved in the past few years they've been in power. Party leader (prime minister) is Tony Blair.
* Conservatives ("tories") - the opposition, second biggest party. Currently a bit of a joke - Labour currently has a large majority in the British Parliament. They have become rather strongly anti-european recently. Party leader William Hague, a bald guy who several months back boasted of his excessive drinking binges during his youth.
* Liberal Democrats - the only other party worthy of consideration. Very small
The current consensus is that Labour are set to win again.

The main thing I hate about the Tories is all their lies. This Fion thing for example: Hague is secretly a homosexual.
Labour actually know about this, but one of their senior MP's is also secretly gay (I can't remember who it is - probably not two jabs), and they came to an agreement with each other not to tell anyone.
They've also both come to agreements with various papers not to release this information.

The warning that I received... you may take it with however many grains of salt you wish -- that the brown acid that is circulating around this is not specifically too good. Pros: Will have a referendum on the Euro
Cons: Referendum will most likely be rigged with "loaded" questions aimed at the idiotic, low IQ majority of the British public
Conservatives
Pros: No to Euro for the next several years
Cons: Extremely negative attitude to Europe means that relations will be strained, and they may even decide to pull out of the EU altogether.
If that happens we'll be forced to rely more on the Americans for trade and stuff. That's bad for two reasons: firstly, import/export tariffs will be higher as it's a longer distance and can only be over sea and in the air, and secondly because the current American government only gives a crap about America, with anywhere else in the world being pretty much irrelevant to them.
Lib-Dems
Pros: See Cons
Cons: Have no chance in hell of getting in, so who gives a ****?

I'm not going to vote, because I don't agree with the manifestos any of the major parties. The Lib-dems are the best, but I still don't like them.
It's a pity the Referendum party aren't around anymore, as I would have voted for them.
