There are some rather unintelligent (but functional) bots included in the ZDoom source port. zdoom.notgod.com
There is also a bot called "Doombot" which is a lot smarter. I can't remember the url right now but www.botepidemic.com links to it.

Oops 'forgot, Doombot was hosted by DoomNation (now defunct) so I have no idea whether the site was reopened somewhere else. Sorry. :/
