I just downloaded ZDaemon v0.9. I can't get it run. I get two error messages: "The ZLAUNCHER.EXE file is linked to missing export MFC42.DLL:6907."
It also tells me a device attached to the system is not functioning.....
So, what do I do to get rid of these crickets??????

That file is/should be in windows\system check if it's been accidentally deleted, i can send you it if you need it, the msg "missing export" is what makes think it should be there but isn't, try run>sfc , that could help

I thought the same thing too. I checked and indeed it is there. So I have no idea what's up. AFAIK ZDaemon runs ok (I don't know any server addresses to type into the console), it's just the launcher that seems to be fubared :(
Send me the file anyway. I might have an outdated version or something. Thanks.

I had a simliar problem with the ver 0.9 launcher packed with the latest zdaemon the other day. My solution was just to get another launcher.
Nightfang released a ver 0.9 launcher prior to releasing the full version 0.9 You can get that launcher from http://slayer1.dhs.org/files/zlaunch09.zip ... This is what worked for me. From what I can tell it looks exactly like the one packaged in the full ver. The thing is the one in the full version is alittle larger, so I guess it has a few other features than the prereleased.
Another good launcher for zdaemon is "bond's advanced zdaemon launcher". You can get that one at http://slayer1.dhs.org/files/azdl.zip
