This is from September 2000. I haven't played the other levels in the series. This one's pretty good. It captures the Doom I style, although with a lot more monsters. There's a hectic start, and it doesn't really let up after that. There's a secret area outdoors that seems to be unreachable due to a faulty door. Overall it's good fun, although it doesn't really stand out from a mass of similar E1-themed levels.

Does the start of this level seem familiar? This is actually the "lost" E1M5 of
Dawn of the Dead by Jan. Jan created mainly all areas except the rooms behind the 
yellow key door. I did some fine tuning to the rest of the level. If you like this 
level and have not played "Dawn of the Dead" yet, you can download it at:

A continuation of a series of levels in the classic Doom style. 
Look for the five other releases (classic1 - classic5). The goal is to
recreate as accurate as possible the atmosphere of the original id levels. 
There will be a few more in the series - check Anthony's webpage to keep
