|Anonymous||This is from April 1994. It's E1M1. The level is an uninspiring techbase, made tedious by a section where you have to shotgun about a dozen cacodemons before you can grab the red key. That's (mental calculations) 72 shots, bang, bang, bang, bang etc, it's boring. Also there are too many inescapable slime mazes. And cacodemons in general, surely the most tedious of the original Doom monsters. They're almost no threat, they take ages to kill.||x|

|Anonymous||This map is much higher quality than the two previous reviews! Yes, it's an early map and the construction is simplistic, but it is creative, fairly challenging and a decent test of skill and inventiveness. To get the red key, simply run for it before firing a shot. Then you'll have the plasma gun and plenty of ammo if you decide you want to kill any of those cacos (you don't need to). I survived and exited at my third or fourth attempt. Only quibble: some monsters placements make pacifist problematic.||x|
