From mid-August to mid-September, Doomworld.com held a contest with a simple premise: design the best Boom level you can with only 10 sectors. This is the result.
The over one hundred people who entered this contest and made it as cool as it was. Andrew Bassett, Matthew Dixon, Martin Friberg, and Gaston Lahaut for judging. Andrew Stine for organizing and running the contest. The authors of all the countless utilities used in the creation of the levels. The Unreal Tournament 5 Cubes contest for providing the idea. Telefragged.com for the first prize of a Voodoo 5 5500 AGP. Fanatic for some free CDs. id Software for Doom.
Due to the trickery used to make a mere 10 sectors feel like many more, many of the levels are impossible to play in co-op or deathmatch mode. Map16, Map25 and possibly others may crash certain machines or configurations. Some levels may be able to be forced into an unbeatable state, necessitating a fresh start or savegame reload.
