Description: The shrine of the fire god at the edge of town has always had an ill-repute, but it and its morbid rituals were tolerated by the town elders. Last night, however, the worshippers of the flame went too far, when they tore your firstborn from you and cast him upon the flames. Now, you are set of a course of bloody revenge.

The first level deals with the temple of the shrine and the worshippers.

The second level is the catacombs below the temple, where creatures not of this world serve the fire god.

The third level is the caves of the fire god, where walls are made of flesh and creatures that should never have been born revel in the pain of the living. And, for some reason, there is a destroyer and aircraft carrier afloat in a cavern, waiting to unleash themselves on an unsuspecting world. Should you survive to the conclusion of this level, you get to face the fire god itself in one on one combat. Oh, joy.

The real meat of this is map03, and it's not too bad at all. Definitely skip map02. See my review: http://www.doomworld .com/vb/doomworld-ne ws/36729-the-newstuf f-chronicles-276/x

The first level is incredibly empty and lacks anything above a blue potion, featuring little challenge and next to no actual playtime, you'll be running about the vast emptiness a lot. The second level is a dark cramped maze with one small medikit at the start. My life isn't long enough for this shit.x

This is actually from March 1997, but seems older. The first level is the entrance to a subterranean temple, but it's tedious, with lots of empty space and undetailed architecture. The second level starts off as a dark underground maze, at which point I gave up in digust; fuck giving a fair review, my life's too short for dark underground mazes.x
