| A real gem, this techbase has an intricate design, memorable architecture, good fights, nice traps, and ingenious secrets. My only (small) complaint is that it sometimes feels a little void of monsters. The map has a refreshing variation: many areas are dark, cramped, and creepy, others are bright and airy. A pleasure to play through. Highly recommended. --5/5 | x | | It is good. | x | | This is a well-designed map in the classic E1 style, although it's generally more spacious and the corridors are wider. The design is nice and clean without being simplistic, with a few unpegged textures (lifts mostly, one of them possibly deliberate). The gameplay is solid although very easy, and I wasn't a fan of the dark maze, even though there is a light-amp. Starts off STARTAN, then goes outdoors. The weak difficulty is the only real problem. | x |
