| Very cool map. **** -sargebaldy | x | | Hellhole is a good name for a gay S&M porn film, and this is a decent but flawed old level. The corridors near the beginning look great, and the design throughout is creative and interesting - at least, the individual rooms are. But the level is basically a big maze with far too many long dark corridors and running about switch-hunting. There's a dearth of ammo, and it's almost as dark as Doom III. Not as good as the author's later Valhalla.wad. | x | | I liked it. It Could have used a bit more ammo here and there though. The health placement was adequite. 3/5 | x | | This is pretty nice conceptually but a bit frustrating because many switches have unclear effects (making it a true "switch-hunt"). Play is survival styled (relatively low ammo, darkness, traps and tight encounters) and suffers somewhat under conventional approaches, like killing all the monsters. ~Chain Mail [3/5] (01/2009) | x |
