| this wad is awsom!!! | x | | Bewdy. Lots of weapons... lots of monsters. | x | | This is from the chap who made "Hoover Dam", which is a classic. This is also good fun, although it's marred a little by having too much health (I felt guilty at leaving so much of it behind). There are some nice setpieces on a medium-large scale and this is top of the class circa 1997. The detailing is very simple but not too shabby today. | x | | Superb old-school map; large and very violent. Progession is top notch -- straightforward but with enough quirks to make it feel fresh, and various side areas which supply powerups and weapons. Several nicely staged traps and fights and constant action. My only (minor) complaint is that it is a little too easy... you are armed to the teeth, especially if you find the secrets. With some touch up in texturing this could've been taken straight from MM2. Very highly recommended. --5/5 | x |
