Reviews:
| Bad: Most traps are predictable and easy to overcome (some showing on the Automap); A lot of the secrets are simple to find; Some rooms seem woefully empty; Visible sky texture tiling at one spot; Level feels small. Good: Somewhat non-linear; Decent health/armor balance; Weapons doled out well; Foreboding, tense atmosphere; No noticeable wall texture errors. Overall: A very average level. Not exceptional, not poor, not too hard or too easy. Just average. 3/5 -VV | x | | You above should deserves to be slaughtered like a pig. In fact this is a real good level actually, with good gameplay and design. 5 Stars -PC | x | | This is an early retro-style map. It's very accurate, and could easily have been one of the originals - it's actually hard to review, because it feels so familiar (it's like a compact variation of E1M7). The gameplay is tougher than the real E1, but still not very tough - the most hectic battle comes at about 4/5 through the map, but there's a secret rocket launcher to help you. It would have been a good part of a classic megawad, if it isn't already. | x |
