This is from January 2007. It's one of several E3M1 remakes, including the recent id=14816 and id=15106, and the older id=12156, id=12484, and id=12875, which is from March 1994. Beats me why people remake E3M1 so often. This one is competently made, although it doesn't really stand out. The final tunnel section has a decent couple of surprises. Oddly, the penultimate room is based on the same room in id=15106, which wasn't in the original E3M1.x

It's rather easy so to that end it's not very interesting. Also, we are very familiar with E3M1, so what does this do to really surprise or delight us? Unfortunately not all that much. Remember that the original map's charm was in that it surprised and challenged people back in 1994. A LOYAL remake is next to pointless because the original map perfectly executed what it set out to do - which was to surprise, challenge, and delight.x

All those points are true but it is a good remake nonetheless. ;) -CodenniumRedx
