nice huge castle, I loved it quite much.x
Awesome. This map was actually stolen for D2Xtreme: Gold, which is where I first played it.x
Fine solid level, especially for its time (mid '95). It allows you to attack the fortress in many ways and is good for Cooperative play, as it's open and nonlinear. The handful of new textures help give it character. One thing that could've been helpful is more hints on what each switch opens, though it's not so bad because you generally see the sections that need switches to open them. This seems to be the author's second and last level. The original Fortress of Death isn't in the archive. It's a castle level, but it's an entertaining one - it's deceptively tricky, especially at the start (lots of sniping monsters) and the layout feels more like a small town than a boring grid of rooms. It's a bit switch-hunty, though, and it took me ages to find the blue key. Overall this is a great map for 1995 and a superior example of the castle genre.x
A bit annoying at start until you find some armour. The texture theme is a bit boring but on the whole a nice map and recommended. 4/5x
One of the best early '90s castle levels. While the texturing is repetitive, the gameplay is incredibly fun and that's all that counts. A little too much switch hunting, though. 4/5 x
