-.. What is HEXED ..-

HEXED is a HEXEN save game editor.  As of now, I know very little about
  the save game file in itself, therefore, very little can be edited.
  All HEXED does is give you every weapon, and 865 of blue and green mana.
  It also gives you every item, yes all 15, even if you cannot use that
  item.  HEXED gives you 99 of each item.
  As I find new developments in the Save Game file, I will release a new
  version of HEXED.  If you have any information on save game files for
  HEXEN and you wish to donate them, I shall add editing for that, and
  credit you not only in the program, but in the documentations.  My
  E-Mail address is at the end of this document.

-.. Running HEXED ..-

Running HEXED is so simple that if you can type, you can run it.
  Simply type HEXED from the prompt and it will load.  You will
  then see a lightbar menu with the titles of you save games.
  Simply use the arrow keys to select a game, and it then edits the
  save game.  That simple.  Remember!  If you wish to have an old
  copy of your save game, you MUST back it up.

-.. Errors in HEXED ..-

Error: No Save Game Files.
    - I saved my game, but it still says there are no save games.
    + Make sure you are in the HEXEN directory, and make sure that
      all save games are kept in the HEXNDATA subdirectory.  That
      is the only directory HEXED reads.

Error: Invalid Save Game Version
    - I saved my game, but it says invalid version.
    + HEXED only works with version 2.36 of HEXEN.  Therefore it
      will not work with any other version.

One last thing, if you wish to see the version of HEXED, simply type
  HEXED /VER at the command prompt.
