| This is dated May 1994. It's a relatively large level, although in typical 1994 style it's a complete borgasmord in terms of style and layout, with a crate maze techbase slime dungeon maze castle etc. It has a design trope whereby you go through corridors that have vines; it's confusing and doesn't work. There's an irritating back-and-forth switchhunty bit as well. And the first room is unnecessarily confusing, and easy to get stuck with. | x | | Despite being 19 years old, this map was fun to play through. For a moment, forget about Doom builder, the doom dumminity, tutoirals and all the other priveleges we have now. Given, this map is a lot of fun. It's ugly as all hell, and also features what may be one of the first ever "army of barons VS a cyberdemon" as seen 2 years later in Tricks and Traps. Worth a shot if you're an oldschool Doomer. | x | | Fun adventure and somewhat challenging even to this day. Cool green marble area. | x |
