Reviews:
| Starts out as a typical "prison break" map (inspired by Wolf3D e1m1 I guess?) with boring copypasted square rooms and corridors, then you get to more interesting areas. It's very unprofessional (you can even find several HOMs) but there are some bits and pieces that are actually worth looking at. I thought it was an enjoyable journey overall. On a totally unrelated note, I find it annoying how those Doom Universe guys use textfiles to promote their sites/wads/etc. Please stop, it's just arrogant. | x | | This is actually a doom 1 map that has been converted to doom 2.
It was made way back on a UK competition CD (PC Zone) in 1994. It was called jail.wad.
I know this because I have it. | x | | The original jail.wad is in ace_dwf.zip (id=3206) but it's weird that this map is named jeff247, which is an entirely different map in the same archive. I played the DOOM 1 version and liked it. Looks like this is just a straight conversion w/o enhancements.
