| An E1 replacement dated August 1997. Ordinarily I give these old levels the benefit of the doubt, but not this time; the worm has turned. E1M1 starts out as a typically awful 1994-era randomly-textured mess of irregularly-shaped rooms. The secret exit is literally three seconds from the start, and takes you to E1M9, which the author hasn't bothered to replace. I then skipped to E1M8 for ten seconds, long enough to appreciate its awfulness, and then I gave up. | x |
