Title: The Hunger
Filename: levels/doom/g-i/hunger.zip
Size: 55.04 KB
Date: 12/27/02
Author: David & Kathy Bruni
Description: There's no real theme to this WAD file. It's just a good ole fashioned shoot-em up. I hope you've practiced killing the Barons of Hell with the chain gun because you'll have to do that in one spot. Lots of guys to shoot and lots of places to see. Revised to support deathmatches.
Credits: *Id - Creators of DOOM! It's hard to believe Doom is 9 years old and so many people are still playing it and making levels and utilities for it. *Geoff Allan-Author of DoomEd *Jack Vermeulen-Author of DeePsea, which is a hell of an editor! Buy it, you won't be sorry. *Antony Burden-Author of DETH *Raphael Quinet and Brendon Wyber - DEU 5.21 GCC *Colin Reed, Lee Killough, Simon Howard & Colin Phipps - BSP 1.2x through 5.x. *Jim Flynn for all the time he spent making Boom and all the help and answers to many questions I had way back when. *Dr Sleep for all his help and for his insistance that all textures line-up. I tried as best I could to live up to his standard. *Marc Rousseau for Zennode
Base: New from scratch

Large, sprawling map with no coherent theme or progression to speak of. No keys, and I'm pretty sure none of the very few switches are important for progression -- you're just fighting monsters in random rooms (including pointless dead-end sections). The fights are plentiful and violent, and there are one or two tense moments, but all in all ... nah. 7 secrets, some of which are just plainly marked doors. Skip it. Oh, and it's been another 8 years, and we're STILL playing this game! --2/5x
