Title: SargeBaldy Speedmapping Compilation #13
Filename: levels/doom2/Ports/s-u/sbspd013.zip
Size: 419.99 KB
Date: 10/26/04
Author: Various
Description: This is a compilation of the WADs entered in SargeBaldy's thirteenth speedmapping exercise. Participants were given 100 minutes to create a Doom or Doom 2 level on a certain theme.

This week the theme is to make a spooky dungeon, complete with traps and/or puzzles in order to bar escape. Dungeon is used very loosely here, and could mean any one of various types e.g. a spiky cavern lockdown, a hellish torture chamber, or even just a plain fashioned stone castle dungeon.
Credits: Doomworld for the template for this .txt
Base: New levels from scratch
Build time: 100 minutes per level
Editor(s) used: Various
Bugs: The levels in this WAD were all built in 100 minutes, so they did not have a chance to be thoroughly tested. Some bugs undoubtedly exist.

Wildly varying quality, but tending toward lower even for speedmapping. A few of the maps have some interesting ideas although the execution is mediocre at best. Some are very difficult either because they give you nothing to work with or because they have ridiculous traps. Some are dirt simple. MAP14 is simply incomplete and impossible to finish.x

A lot of annoyance, some bad errors and a few ok-maps. I don't think, that speedmapping is a good conception overall. 1.5/5 -Milianx
not bad. Not bad at all. a little on the dark side for my taste - more bright lights to brake up the gloom would have been nice. I only got to level 4 or 5.x
