Description: This is an attempt to "do" some of the scenes/events from the conclusion of "The Lord of the Rings". There's a Mount Doom, a Crack of Doom, and a concluding scenario that revises ever so
Base: New level from scratch
Build time: About three days.
Editor(s) used: DCK, DCC, Dmaudwin
Bugs: There's a HOM visible when you look at the mountain from a distance. I've tried reducing sectors and deleting unneeded sidedefs and/or textures, but nothing seems to work. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. The "delayed" teleporters are intentional; I just like them that way

WTF. I haven't read the books, but this was a cool weird map.x
Totally epic man. Only things I didn't like was the Spider-mastermind at the beginning, and there being enemies with hitscan weapons at the volcano (Mount Doom). Other than that, IT ROCKS!!x
This is dated December 1997, and thus precedes the Peter Jackson movie version. It's a pretty faithful recreation of the book; first you kill a spider mastermind in a cave with a BFG, then you use a variety of technological small arms to destroy a bunch of martian hellspawn on a black tower. It's uncanny. Ultimately I fell into the crack of doom - and got stuck there, because the lava didn't hurt. It's an enduring tragedy that Tolkien never got to see this.x
