Review - Steve Dudzik
Well, the wait is over, and although I wasn't really waiting for this, I can see why everyone else was. These levels are by far the most advanced levels I've seen publicly released. They seem to defy the limits of the Doom engine everywhere you go, and although a few bad-looking textures and offsets ruin the effect, they are still a sight to behold.

A few of the levels seemed a bit undersized (Map02 especially), and there are a few weird limitations (windows you should be able to jump through but are marked 'impassable', etc.) that take away from the overall fun of the game, but not drastically. I had a few friends over to play this on my network and one cancelled his memorial-day family get-together just to watch us play. This is the most fun I've had with Doom in years, the other time being when I played against the Hen and Flaming Darrel on Going Down. These guys really keep the fun and variety coming throughout FFi. We played through the whole thing at least 3 times.

The thing I like best about FFi is that it's just plain and simple to use: type FFi_Z (or FFi_B) and get down to business. I wish everything else was this simple!

So what are you waiting for? Go get it!!

GOOD: Excellent progression of level size and contents, great architecture and consistent, well-marked exits. Obviously a lot of thought went into this.

BAD: some scenes drastically lack detail, first levels are a bit too small, some places are a bit too restricted.

     Overall: 9/10
