Game Boy Advance Doom

Finaly a portable Doom, apart from those ports on graphical calculators and the like. Nintendo's new Gameboy advance has hit the market and says that Doom will be ported to it.

The port has the 27 original levels from the first 3 episodes. It looks the same as the original in low res mode with slightly different text. The graphics are better than the snes version, with texture on the floor and roof. Some of the levels are slightly different to the pc version, such as some raised bits are at floor level.

The blood has been changed to green from red. The controls are a bit hard to get use to, unless you've been playing the snes version. You can use a link up cable to play multiplayer but each player must have a copy of the game which might be because of the huge load on each system. In the last shot I have it looks like the iddqd cheat works the same as well.
There is a good review at Firing Squad if GBA Doom.
