The Green Herring on The Refinery: Overall, this WAD makes a brave attempt to bring a horror feel to a familiar level, with appropriate gameplay, but is let down by poor balance and the feeling that despite all the bells and whistles thrown in, it doesn't feel much different from the original. [. . .] Don't go in expecting Cacoward material, or you will be disappointed. (more)

At almost exactly two years in the making, over at the Doomworld forums we have ourselves a nice beta to play with before the first release candidate, and my gosh: it looks good! The idea is that one map is produced which has an ending that can be continued as a starting point by another mapper for the next map. You should know by now that we love a good beta test. - WADs: had-beta2_1, tskins1e, miekskins-r3
- Maps: 01-16
- Lives: 1 (possibly 2 during PAIN rotations)
- Players: 20/50
- When: 20:00 BST (15:00 EDT) (Euro session) / 20:00 EDT (01:00 BST) (US session)
In other news: Doom 3: BFG Edition buyers will be happy to know that ZDaemon supports the classic Doom IWAD copies shipped in that bundle. The Duelers League is flying nicely whilst providing a nice trial for the new server-side demo recording, ensuring you won't miss out on all the action. Be sure to click here for more info and extras. Just grab the latest version of ZDaemon and join all the fun.
