It was pure random that we met. Ralf didn't know where to upload his DHT Master exam and sent his question to Arno, the then newest Master. Arno replied and these were not the last eMails we swept...

Arno came up with a match. One of us had to choose a level and skill on which he recorded a demo ending up with 100% Kills and 100% Secrets, sent it to the other who had two days to return his best demo of this level and skill plus another one for the first to beat (of course there were only UV demos :)). We did this until we had 8 levels. The ninth round was to rerecord all eight previous demos in one weeks time.

After finding out that Arno is the faster DOOMer he came up with the idea of DANG so someday we'll get full game collections. We both love to see demos from others so we decided to put ours on the Web as well. And maintaining the Archive was easier, too, because we both have access to this Site.

Later we decided to open DANG for the public, some mails we swept with Rini lead the way. First Public DANG was open for everyone with 3 or less points in Compet-N... but soon this barrier was thrown away.
