Richie Agnew recorded 2 impressive maxdemos on Hell Revealed2beta Map32. Highly Recommended.
-- He does a great job with the Archvile traps.  The 34-minute demo has less than 20 resurrected monsters.

stx-Vile managed a full-episode movie on TVR!.  Recommended.

Ryback and Ranx exchanged some demos on Hell Revealed:
-- Claudio did Map19 -fast in record time while Chris put a serious hurt on Map25 -fast.  All demos are Highly Recommended.

Scythe:
-- Rich Sham sent the first maxdemo run on Map26.  Recommended.
-- Altima Mantoid sent a maxdemo movie of the first episode of Scythe.
-- I updated the table.

Never_Again did an entire demoset of -fast demo for Sudtic. 

Bndalyu:
-- Rich did a good maxdemo.

Modest soul, always advocating -timedemo to watch his demos.  Other demo communities *cough* quake3*cough* could learn something from that behavior.

Erik Alm released a very player-friendly megawad, Scythe.  I created a temporary page with a direct link to all the demos made up to today.  Get the skinny at the Compet-N boards.
note: Erik has replaced the old non-tallsky version with a fixed version.  I don't know if that effects the demos or not.

HL-CS demoplayer Geekplay6.0 released  -- has advanced features like removing Fade-to-black in demos as well as some client fixes. This demo (for example) only works with Geekplay6.  bds is the man.

Duke3d source released: this site has the first port for Linux.  Once there is a Windows-multiplayer version, I'll be macro-ing at every LAN!
I never made the correlation that Xvid was the open source version of Divx. Should blossom into something more valuable (and free) than Divx is.
DOOM3 won't be out until November... but we DO want them to do it right... right?  :)
Half-life2 will use the Quake3Arena engine.
