Old news:
10/29/00 Albert wouldn't let Arno intimidate him, and retaliated with a 5:07 on Classic7.
Mike Toliver did max demos for Airwalk and Atrium.
Both are short and nice Doom levels.
Also, there is a new Featured level -- Flay The Obscene by Christian Hansen.
10/28/00 Arno sent the fastest max demo for Classic7 which will be hard to beat.
Mike sent a new Max demo for Aday2die, the fastest posted yet.
As well as a Tyson run of Base1.
10/27/00 Gonzalo - of Cyberdreams fame -  sent his first demo, a speedrun of Warcade1. Welcome!
The other half of that team, Albert Valls, sent an ultra-fast demo of Deadmen.
Claudio Barba not only sent Peo's lost Hr27nmx TAS demo but also sent the fastest Venom demo ever.
Anyone who can beat Feragen and Jurjako deserves, no, earns his respect.
Thanks a lot for Peo's demo -- too bad it wasn't even nearly one of his better demos.
Mike Toliver is still recording like crazy.
This week's, uhh... scratch that.  Today's Toliver demos are a max demo on Abbadonx and Aday2die.
He also sent a maxdemo and a Tyson demo(nicely done, too) of Berserk.

I have uploaded almost all the single-player pwad demos that I have now.
Or rather, all the ones that I will definitely upload.
I haven't included:
some of the demos from the sites listed on the Main SDA page.
  Wim's Phtga contest demos
  Cyberdreams
Mineral's contest demos (they are very high quality, by the way)
Spacelab Team Insanity contest demos (all demos crash Spacelab.wad for some reason.)
and some miscellaneous internet Doom demos that aren't worth posting(including the rest of the ftp.cdrom.com demos)

If you have any reasonably good demos of decent demo-runners from the past, please send them.
Thanks.

10/26/00 Albert felt a speedrun of Classic7 wasn't enough, so he sent a Max demo as well.
Added Dmonfear, 12die4, Albillo, Dg-core, 2diehell, Mycyber, and Eulogy1 through Eulogy9.
Also added demos to Relive and Raven.
10/24/00 Albert Valls sent a very fast -nomonsters demo for Classic7.
He also sent a very quick Runaway demo -- that's Tyson for you forgetful types.
Man of many talents, Arno Slagboom sent another good maxdemo for Classic1.
Mike Toliver sent two more Ultimate Doom demos -- Barrel2 and long and difficult Diopatra.
10/23/00 Donatas Tamonis sent some outstanding Compet-N-styled demos for my Allalone.wad.
Thanks, man.
The Featured map of October is going to be replaced shortly...
10/22/00 Mike sent demos for 11fortko, Daemon2,and Scream.
I also added Hell Revealed Episode One.
There is a new mini-contest at Mole's and Metabolist has some demos to accompany his reviews.
10/21/00 Chris "Ryback" Ratcliff sent some fantastic Perdition's Gate demos.
Donatas Tamonis sent a speedrun of Aday2die.
Ammo-conservation wizard Mike Toliver sent a whole bunch of demos.
   1_on_1, 11bones, 11space, 21hex_pn, 2bosses, 8isenuf, Aurora1, and Techbase.
Toliver also sent some maxdemos for the Classic series at my request.  Thanks.
I fear Mike has more demos than AndrewB. has pr0n...
10/16/00 Arno Slagboom sent a fast -nomonsters demo as well as the best Max demo for Classic7.
Tyson-junkie Mike Toliver sent 2 demos for 1berserk.wad.
Claudio Barba sent two very entertaining demos for Demonipa -- really shows the level well.
He also sent the best Raven demos I have ever seen -- all from Map01.  He really found a good route.

This page looks really poor in IE.  It just handles tables differently.  Not sure what to do about that...

10/15/00 First, if anyone has Peo Sjoblom's hr27nmx TAS demo (in 3:29), I'd like to have it.
It isn't available at the TAS site(because it has the same filename as Sedlic's 1:06 demo).

Big HR update.
added the rest of the miscellaneous demos for HR. -- which are probably mostly Yonatan Donner.
Clarified that HQR-4339 is one 32-level, non-cheated, skill 1 demo and HRDQ2843 is a TAS UV demo.
   hr19pa31 and hr281708 by me.
Plus, made the bulk of the HR demos locally available in grouped zip files.  woop!

Added Yashar's incredible HRB 405 demo.
Classic1 -(that's one, not seven)- action
Brad Spencer sent a nice Maxkills demo.
Mike Toliver sent an even nicer tyson demo.
Andy Olivera has a review (and demo, of course) for Runaway.
Added a Darkening2 speedrun of Map10.
Additionally, the Plutonia II and Alien Vendetta projects will be outstanding.
DoomMillenium was supposed to be this millenium, right?  -- just kidding, guys. I just hope it does get released eventually.

10/14/00 Added Icarus, CygnusIV, Obtic, Red, Aloha999, and Osiris.
Also added an improved Eternal Map24 from Jason Henry.
10/13/00 Made an error (I have been moving a lot of demo files recently) with the Classic7 Feature page.
Wim sent a -turbo 255 speedrun and I missed that detail.  sorry Wim.
It is fixed now.

Craziness at Mole's Lair -- check out Valls' demo.
Brad Spencer sent the fastest Classic7 Max demo yet.
Donatas sent me a whole bunch of demos.
Apocalypse 1 -- Max and Max -fast
Inmcorp -- Speed, Nightmare, and Reality (very nice) demos.
Pe4m_all -- Max, Respawn, Pacifist, Nightmare, Tyson, and Speed  (the Pacifist and Tyson are great)
  Simply -- Speed and Max.
  Warcade2 -- Nightmare
Warcade4 -- Max, UV -fast, and Speed.
Mike Toliver sent Max and Nomonsters demos for Dmturm
Damn, I wish I was a AV playtester.  hehe
I did a speedrun  for Blastem2.wad -- I think the route is optimized, but the run isn't.
Updated the Babdm2 page. Tamonis' Map08 demo needed a Reject Mapped level to play correctly.

10/12/00 Two new Classic7 demos from Wim
--an improved 100% secrets speedrun and a dangerous Max run-- where he has 2% and 1% health for about a minute.
A 'Thank you' to Newdoom.com  for promoting my site.

Added The Talosian Incident, Cleimos2, Strain, Moon2000, and The Trooper's Playground.
TI, Strain, and TTP are very old demo collections -- but the megawads are classics.
Moon2000 is a great demo -- shows off the level nicely.

10/11/00 Chief sent the old Team Insanity demos. (thanks!)
However, the ftp.cdrom.com version of Spacelab has an error.-- and I cannot reach Doomshack to fix that.
I do not have all of the demos for Dmdjm01 or Zar from the TI contest.
Added the contest demos for Sprike, Tomb, and Ithurts.
Donatas Tamonis sent me a great collection of nightmare demos for Babdm2.
Never seen that wadfile before, it is very playable.-- thanks Donatas.
10/10/00 Mike Toliver sent in a max Classic7 demo and Wim Vanrie sent in 2 Classic7 speedruns.
Andy Olivera very generously allowed me to host his wide selection of great demos.
Amended Soto's Darkening2 Max demo.
Added the Requiem, Memento Mori, and Memento Mori 2 demosets.
I don't need to tell you that some of those are must viewings. (but I just did  =)   )
10/08/00 Added Requiem, Quikisgd, Quikisg2.
As well as Olivera's TAS demos for ASD2, Dodead, Darkening, and Punisher.
10/07/00  I was quickly corrected by several players about my last post.  Anders Johnsen beat the Asd2 map6 TAS demo and the Hr10 uv demo.
I want to thank everyone for their responses and the demos.
New demos:
Wim sent the first Classic7 demo. Arno sent an extremely fast Classic5 speedrun, totally shaming my demo.
Chris helped me get the rest of Andy Olivera's demos; which I will add soon.  Also, I still have to add a bunch of demos(mostly Megawad collections); I'm working on it.
Claudio Barba sent some very efficient an_coop2 demos -- nearly 2/3rds the time of Jurjako's max demo!
Demigod Anders sent a Hell Revealed collection of his.  I haven't watched them all yet, but the -fast demos might be the best HR demos in existence. Map32 -fast is unbelievable.
Added, Kempling's UV Chordg demo and his TAS Tyson Chordg demo -- which is a humorous piece with him pausing to savegame after every segment.
Also, added a few easy HR speedruns of myself.
10/06/00 Ryback very generously sent in the first submission: 34 demos for Hell Revealed.
Also started a new part of this page: there will always be a featured level for recording.
That is for those of you who can't decide what map to record with.  = ]
The first featured map is Classic7; so get recording...
10/05/00 Added some more pages.  Including the biggest bad boy of them all, Hell Revealed. And, no that isn't all of the HR demos either.
I still have a lot to add, especially the Megawads like Memento Mori, etc...
I have a good amount of disk space left, but it could get absorbed quickly if I  1) post anything 2)post more than a few dm demos.(which should be added soon as well)
New NEW contest at Pdang... and some demos at Darkening2 and The Mole's Lair.
9/00 Page opens; updated my Individual demos page to this page. Again, I encourage anyone to submit a demo. -- I know that the average skill level of these demos is pretty high, but since I know I won't get many takers, don't be afraid to send me a demo. It can be of you on your level on skill 2 using Jdoom. I do have preferences(see info page), but overall.anything goes.  I am starting this page with the release of  Doomworld's 10 sectors contest in hope that that will encourage more demo activity.  Expect some hurriedly recorded 10 sectors demos from me shortly.  Demos are the best way to show off a level, so start recording...
  As for Doom demo news:
Compet-N and  PDang are always active.
Adam Hegyi finally bothered to record a D2S run.  -- and Henning did another 2!  -- one in only 38:41.
AlienVendetta will rock.(but that's not out yet). There is action at Vorpal's, Vanrie's, and Darkening2.

--Unfortunately, the TeamInsanity demo contest pages have been eaten by the Doomnation vortex.

--I have seen a lot of Quake movies.(almost all, I'd say)
But 2 of them are far above the rest: (excluding the QDQ runs, of course)
           Damian Scott's Quake Intro  Movie w/sound (1.4 MB) /  Movie w/out sound (500 KB)
            - I recommend the second one(with playing your Quake cd for sound)
-- it is an audio/visual demo   -- playsback best with software rendering.
The Seal of Nehahra --  Page  -- is a movie and a levelset.
           - Better than most movies in the theaters!

--If somehow I missed a demosite, or you create a new one, I would be glad to add it.
--This page looks best in Netscape at a resolution higher than 1024. So sorry, for those of you with inferior displays.
