This site is for DOOM-engine multi-player demos.  Single-player or cooperative single-player demos should be submitted to other sites(Compet-N/DSDA/etc...).
It is intended to complement Bahdko's exemplary Doom2.net deathmatch supersite.

We are always looking for more demos to add to this site, so please don't hestitate to send some.
Although, since most modern demos are quite large, please either upload them to the ftp or notify us before you email.
This site will not host DOOM3 demos, but an expansion site may in the future....

Keep on DOOMin'...

Doom, Doom2, and standard advanced ports:

DeathManager is a good frontend tool for the real game; but generally command-lines are always the best.
Use IPX emulators like Kahn or MSN Zonelan to play the real game over the internet.
examples:
zdoom -width 800 -height 600 -fullscr -file atbeta.wad -skill 4 -nomusic -iwad doom.wad -record opdemo -maxdemo 1024
doom95 -skill 4 -timer 5 -warp 5 -nodes 2 -nomonsters -maxdemo 1024 -record dm7 -file red.wad
zdoom -iwad doom2.wad -file hr.wad -width 800 -height 600 -fullscr -nomusic -warp 25 -skill 4 -record coop1 -maxdemo 4096 -net 2 24.210.144.146 +set dmflags 16 -dup 3

Zdaemon:

(Quake-like interface with console, bindings, and aliases -- you can use a bind script in your autoexec.cfg and zdoom.ini file to record/stop as you would in any quake-engine game)
to record within GUI: Right click on a server, select 'Record demo'.
to playback within GUI: ZDaemon browser toolbar select "Demos", select "play demo", select the demo file, select the correct wad files.
to record in launcher: in the launcher in extra command line parameters add:  '-netrecord lastgame'  (If you like the demo then rename the file after you exit the game, otherwise just leave it and it'll get overwritten next time you play.)
to record at the console:  type 'disconnect' then 'netrecord demoname' and rejoin the game.  To stop recording, go to the console and type 'stoprecord'.
to playback a demo at the console: type 'netplay demoname'
if you are using a 'drag-and-drop' OS, you can select both the demo and the wadfile using ctrl+select and drag them to zdaemon.exe.
You can even put the demo in the ..\zdaemon\demos directory, launch ZD, and select the demo from the 'Demos' tab.

examples:
zdaemon -netplay tellz-d5m1.zdo
zdaemongl -netplay demoname.zdo -file dweller2.wad

other:
Newer versions of Zdaemon can playback older version demofiles.  You must name the files with the '*.10X.zdo" double extension for it to work.  Ex: ganja-map01-lag.105.zdo
