Batman DooM


WoW!
Batman DooM is something really astounding! When I think that this is actually made to run with basic DooM 2 and not some new engine and when I look all the tricks they made, I can only say one word, and I already said it in the beginning :)

Batman DooM's creators have propably used all their talents to make a DeHackEd patch that will blow off every already existing patch on the planet... They have made a monster that actually picks rocks from ground and throws them at you, lot's of different boss enemies varying from odd beasts to mens on a flying helicopter! Also they have made lot's of new enemies, traps, explosion effects, breaking doors (you have to see it before you know how amazing it is) etc...

I could spend all day just writing about the DeHackEd stuff that they made, but I wont... I also have to say that the levels are absolutely outstanding! They have levels that look really realistic, city levels that dont look repeative because each building looks different, masterfully placed traps and so on...

But what really makes this the best TC that I have played so far is the story and how the game goes on... You actually have different kind of missions and they feel like real missions... In one mission you have to capture "Two Face" and in a nother you have to save gotham city major from death. Between each mission you visit the batcave to get some health and equipment... Batcaves are also very interesting places, because each of them has a secret that you can find by searching, but it's a different secret in every batcave.

Monsters of this TC are quite damn well made too... There is many kind of basic monsters that you meet in almost every level, and then there are more special kind of enemies, like fire bomb throwing fat guys, machine gun mens with jetpacks, flamethrower guys and so on...
There is even special kind of enemies that pop out of the water in the sewers... You really have to see them, coz it looks really good.
The weapons are mostly quite nice too, although one of them I didn't like too much (weapon no. 4, replaces chaingun graphics, but acts just like ordinary chaingun).

From start to end this TC will keep you interested... In fact even the last level is really good... I don't know how they came up with such and brilliant idea (dont expect me to reveal it to you here)... Final level of TC's has many times been not-so-good when compared to other levels in TC, but in Batman DooM even the final level is great!

Here's a quick summary:
The look: Cartoonish and realistic at the same time. Very good.
Sounds: Mostly really good! I dont remember anything bad.
The feel: Excellent! I never got bored, frustrated or anything.
Hardness: The challenge is there! On UV there are some places that are really hard and if UV is not enough, they have already made the nightmare mode playable (mosnters are really bad, but they wont respawn)
Mindwork: Some places you have to think a bit, but mostly its just good old blasting.
