The Tools: TRIGCALC

TRIGCALC is, funny enough, just what the name implies: it calculates trigger numbers. To use it, just run TRIGCALC.EXE and it will ask you what you want, starting with the intended effector. For example: choose 'door' and it will ask you what kind of door you want ('open and close',' stays open', etc), the speed by which the door should open or close, if monsters are allowed to activate the trigger, the delay between opening and closing and lastly what type of trigger you want (switch, walk-over, etc). The output is a trigger number.

The Tools: CLED

CLED allows you to change properties of existing linedefs, sidedefs, sectors and things in a compiled level. These properties can vary from type and angle of things to texture offsets to re-assigning new triggers/tags to linedefs and sectors. Whenever you build a new level with your favorite editor, you can use this utility to assign the new triggers / tags / things. CLED works with command-line parameters, like "cled mywad.wad linedef(7,400).type=242" which assigns trigger 242 to linedef number 400 in map 7 of mywad.wad.
