Bloody hell. That lazy bastard Ziggy was meant to do an update ages ago. Where is it, I
ask? Well, looks like I'll have to do it. Things are going well, and we'll probably have some big news out shortly. It may shock, please and/or disappoint a lot of people, but there you go. I can confirm that it is nothing to do with the death of this project or anything like that, so don't panic. Kurt Kesler is proceeding awesomely with his jungle assassination mission, and he tells us that it is fairly much done. We'll get some better looking pictures of his level up here shortly. My Oil Rig level is proceeding awesomely as well. I mean, f*ck modesty, I think it is pretty damn good. It looks extremely industrial which is how I like it! So to summarise, our progress is good, everything is falling into place, and we can guarantee a release in around four to six weeks. |

Mike Mitchell of Wride! Development is going round again for us, and will definitely be doing
interpic / titlepic / credit screen type stuff for us We just received a new copy of Dosdoom today, so Sidearm and I are going to rush home shortly to have a bit of a fiddle with it. Hopefully we should be able to start creating a workable engine soon. Also we have been getting quite a bit of e-mail about a past news update: we are thinking about releasing a preview pack and / or conducting a demo contest to find beta testers. We are conducting a bit of a straw poll, so drop us an email and tell us what you think. Many people have taken this to mean that they can sign up as beta testers. We ask that you read the above carefully. We were looking for preferences - demo contest for beta testers vs a sneak preview. Note that we are just thinking about this stuff. Anyway, we need a pretty much complete package before we could implement either idea. So nothing is gonna happen on this front for at least a couple of weeks. OK? |

Mike Mitchell of Wride! Development has created some new logo graphics for us, we reckon they are absolutely
kick-ass. We can heartily recommend this dude's work. We are going to see if he'll make us some titlepic / interpic / credit
graphics as well. We've been considering some aspects of the project, and a few changes are on the drawing board. It looks like we'll include hand grenades now, and the M16 rifle has been replaced with an OICW rifle (courtesy of Stephen Browning) We have made some changes to the page, all information has been revised, and now reflects the current status and direction of the project. Most pages have changed a bit, so have a look around. Our release date is approaching, we are trying for late October or early November. In the lead up to the release, we are thinking about releasing a preview pack and / or conducting a demo contest to find beta testers. We are conducting a bit of a straw poll, so drop us an email and tell us what you think. |

SCREENSHOT-A-RAMA Pop Quiz: The mad bomber is making an escape, taking your S.W.A.T buddy as a hostage. Do you a) go into a mad rage Keanu style b) Shoot the hostage in the leg, thus earning him a disability pension or c) Go straight to the Twilight Warrior preview section? Answer: Go straight to the preview page to see more Oil Rig screenshots, screenshots from Kurt Kesler's latest map - a jungle assassination level. You MUST also check out the latest and greatest weapon drawn by Stephen Browning, the OICW rifle. (which previously was featured as a Doomworld pic of the day a little while back) Oops, did we say that? In the most recent update, I said that Justin Madigan was part of Doomworld. This was evidently a mistake. Mr Madigan is in fact Doomshack's head News correspondent. He is Mr Doomshack News. I'm just going to blame this extremely bone mistake on tiredness, due to the intensive work that I've been doing on my maps, along with a particularly onerous piece of university assessment. I can tell you don't believe me, though. What can I say? I'm sorry. |

| How can I put this? Our hits have absolutely gone off over the past few days, just absolutely, mindblowingly hugely. It must have something to do with that oil rig level of Sidearm's. Well, actually, I think much of the credit should go to Justin of Doom News, who's put together an exclusives section at his site. Go straight to the source, yes folks, right here to check it out. Meanwhile, Sidearm has continued to refine the oilrig level. While he was cursing the lack of a true 3D engine the other day (well not really, because his computer is too crap to run such a game), he's made a really excellent facsimile of 3D. Now you can actually get under the oil rig. This man is the master....of silent teleports, that is. Screenies will be up shortly. |

| Sidearm's Oilrig level is going very well, and we've got a couple of very alpha screenshots which are a veritable feast for the eyes. You'll want to head here to check 'em out. |

Ziggy is continuing to work on sprites, and is currently drawing an army general, which will
be the target in the assassination mission. Sidearm has temporarily halted work on the desert level (where you attack a terrorist training camp), and is devoting most of his time to a level that will take place on an oilrig. The idea was submitted to us by some guy whose name I now forget, although I expect he's from somewhere in Scandanavia. Although I concede that I could be badly wrong. Justin Madigan and Kurt Kesler are continuing to sweat blood and work their fingers to the bone in making their current levels, for which we're most grateful. Hopefully we should have around eight to ten maps by the time Twilight Warrior is released. Accordingly, and since we haven't done it in a while, the progress page has been updated to reflect our progress (duh). Go here to see what's happening. |
