I'd better get my monster polished and preened to the point where, much like my C1024 map, I'm sick to death of it. :P Layout is pretty much done. Just want to add a few more areas (to add to the exploration factor) and detail a couple really ugly-looking areas.

Bad news for me - I will tentatively have to say that, until further notice or unless things unexpectedly improve, I won't be able to finish my map on time. The main reason being that the DoomBuilder I downloaded (plus the one I already had) somehow got bug-infested and would not run properly for beans. This may be related to my now being in a country with lower standards, hence a virus or bug getting onto my flashdrive or something. I never had this problem on my old computer, and I simply cannot use (the locally availiable version of)DB anymore because of it. Sorry, but it looks like I'm down for the count.

I'm going to be cutting my map significantly short. Honestly, I've not even touched my map since the last status check. What I'm am going to to do is finish up the last couple rooms in the current "building" toss in an exit and then submit it for testing. After that, I'm planning on just turning the map over to someone else if any changes need to be made.

This is going to be my last project for (Quite possibly) a very long time.

I've done the status check for today. Three people have missed three status checks in a row now. They are Cadman, master lockwolf and Nuxius. They must make the status of their map known by June 1, 2009, or they will be dropped from the project. All have been PMed and e-mailed to notify them about this.

Three more people have missed two status checks in a row: Kid Airbag, Creaphis, and Dreadopp. All have been PMed and e-mailed.

Several others have missed today's status check. Please check the list and let me know how your map is going before it's too late!

EDIT (5/1/2009 1:47 PM PDT): Dreadopp is evidently a ninja. ;p (See the post above mine.)

Ok, status check. I'm still working, not planning on giving up.

--BUT--

I have a problem that I have been pissed off about for a while now, and whenever I ask about it, I don't get any answer.

For the past few months, I have had a problem where I am mapping for a little while, then suddenly, my whole computer freezes and will not respond to anything, then I have to turn it off and start over. I have asked about this before. Also, the freezing can happen at any time, and it usually happens within 5 minutes of me opening up the editor.

Can anyone possibly tell me what's wrong?

I've got a lot of academic commitments at the moment, so I don't currently have much time to look at the maps currently awaiting testing.

I'll have a lot of time to playtest them later this month, though.

So, after almost a two and a half month hiatus, I come to check DW again and low and behold, I have four PM's. Two of them are from TGH, telling me what a bad little Community Chestian I've been by not updating my progress like a proper Community Chestian should, and I should stop being a lazy bum and do the right thing by updating my progress. And he's right, so I am! Seriously. :p

Seriously though, I've been so busy with work that I haven't had much time to do anything on the internet as of late. I HAVE, however, been working on my map. I probably have about another 6 or 7 rooms and stuff added since my last update, which isn't much, but I am making progress.

I've also added a reminder to my alerts to tell me to come here and update at the end of every month to prevent this extended hiatus from happening again (which I should have done in the first place). :)

Thanks, Nuxius, and that's all right. As long as I know you live, you remember the project, and still care about it enough to let me know how you and your level are, it's all right. Me, I only resumed progress on my level yesterday, thanks to the inspiration brought on by the release of Doom Builder 2, which is proving to outdo the original in absolutely every way possible. I still need to start on the second part of my level, however. I didn't post my own update here all this time because as the leader of the project along with being a mapper for it, it would be ridiculous for me to not know the status of my own map. :p
