CC4 was fighting with HPack on my attention. Eventually CC4 showed more pressure for having itself completed, so next days when I'm at my computer with no work to do, I'll likely use marvelous Doom Builder 2 to work on this map. I could start this very Sunday.

So this is supposed to be some giant haunted battle cruiser. Probably inspired from TNT: Evilution, Doom 3 or some space horror flick (I haven't quite watched them in my life, I'm ashamed!). I hope I can outline something just with the CC4-TEX textures, which as I can see them, seem more concerned with UAC bases than rusted/dark steel suitable for this stuff. I hope I can make the map layout compact and nearly cramped (but not to the point of annoyance) and symmetrical (yet not so), like a rocket. Essentially, a moving space station. Could make it crash, or land controlled into hell (near Doom 2 Cluster 3), as soon as our hero presses the final button.

Screenshots aren't yet except that one in the status check thread. I couldn't work on my map immediately after I signed up (in August!) because that computer had weak DB2 support, DB1 was crashing, and I didn't want to use DETH, rather work on something else still using DB1. Now I'm back in my big home city I love, using state-of-the-art Windows 7 and Doom Builder r1416, and I'm posting this thread to motivate myself.

Music will be D_SHAWN2 because it fits. Map is currently MAP19 in order to keep this music, but since I saw another thread with same lumpname, I'd just keep it MAP1x for the time being.

Sounds promising. I usually favor compact levels over more open ones, so I'm looking forward to this.

That would be a cool touch.

Three screenshots...

Any such area is subject to further change, such as the monotonous ceiling of last screenshot...

The first screen-shot looks great, the other two also look pretty nice. Adding more changes in floor and ceiling height will make them look much better. I'm still looking forward to this.
