Speedmap I made in just over 7 hours. It's fully playable with difficulty settings and multiplayer starts. I'm going to PM it to the testers.

Looks great so far, your speedmaps are better than my "normal" maps. :)

I think this would look really nice with the E2 sky as well as the E1 sky...

Thanks everyone! I've gotten some feedback from testers and I have a few minor fixes to make, but the map seems to be all right.

It does look better with the E2 sky; but the gameplay is short and easy so I feel it is more suited to E1. That being said, I realise I'm contributing this at the very last minute so I am not picky about where it gets slotted :)

Recorded a FDA on UV and exited with 100% kills and 50% secrets on the second attempt. I second that the difficulty fits best in Episode 1. Health and ammo balance feels good, enough to keep gameplay moving at a fast clip but not so much as to get wasteful and careless.

Yay!
It is small - remindede me of 1024, though it is by no means constrained (checking reveals 3x1024).
It is short - ideal for speedruns [big maps tend to require hours as one rerecords].
It is simple - no big routing, just two loops. This absolutely goes in line with map01, in fact, I'd probably slap this into map02 were it possible, sort of as a continuation to m01.

Thanks everyone for the feedback and FDAs (love watching these). I'm currently going through the map and making fixes (all of which are minor).

I'll give it a playtest on each difficulty level myself and then send in a final version.
