memory Question

I am building a athlon 64 system and the motherboard that im getting is the asus a8v deluxe. I see the motherboard supports dual bank memory and has 4 memory slots. does this mean I can get 2 sets of dual bank memory (2 1gig pairs) for that motherboard or will it only work with one set.

hope the question made sense, beer might be effecting my question asking abitlity at this moment.
