lisac_the_fox Posted October 4, 2014 I recently installed Doom III on my Kubuntu Linux 14. As soon as I started to play i found out my FPS is low. It is round 20 on normal play, but goes down to 2 when I open doors or look transparent wall, even on low settings. My pc: 1gb RAM,Intel Pentium D Extreme Edition 3.0 Ghz X2 Dual-core, Integrated Graphics Card (OpenGL 2.1 Mesa) 256 RAM.Anyone have some ideas to boost fps? Thanks, lisac_the_fox 0 Share this post Link to post
SyntherAugustus Posted October 4, 2014 As I said in a ZDoom thread of yours, you need a new graphics card. Hell, go spend $500 and replace that toaster and you can probably run anything that's been around the past 20 years. 0 Share this post Link to post
lisac_the_fox Posted October 6, 2014 Sorry but bying new graphics card is not an option right now. 0 Share this post Link to post
vtm Posted October 6, 2014 disabling shadows and playing in lowest resolution helps. 0 Share this post Link to post

Coopersville Posted October 9, 2014 http://www.techspot.com/tweaks/doom3/index.shtml But if you have a graphics card that freaks out just by rendering transparent objects, it might be beyond fully tweaking around. 0 Share this post Link to post
