changing the brightness and gamma in config does nothing to brighten 3d mode. also i can't see things in it. i've got a radeon 9600se, directx 9.0c, and windows xp home sp1a.

Dunno about the brightness, but did you press "t" to activate the "Veiw things" command? ;)

Hmm, Try pressing "L" or something... I know there is a button to toggle it in 3D mode so just Ither open up the configuration menu, or just start trying random buttons...
