Make sure you give the lift sector a tag of 1 (or whatever number). Then, on the line that activates the lift, change the activation type to whatever you want it to be. On the right side of the little popup box for the activating line, set the "sector tag" to correspond with the lift sector, set the movement speed and the reverse delay.
Also, you might want to check the box on the bottom of the popup that says "repeatable action."
