sdger Posted October 14, 2009 I've made a floor sector and assigned a texture to it (teleport texture). Later, I needed to move that sector. When I did, the texture wasn't centered anymore. I tried Visual Mode, to offset the texture, but it only works with vertical textures, like the ones on walls. What am I supposed to do? 0 Share this post Link to post
Malinku Posted October 14, 2009 just move the sector around until the flat is centered again 0 Share this post Link to post
sdger Posted October 15, 2009 Sorry, but I can't do that. I _need_ that sector in that specific position. Is there another solution? BTW, why can't the texture be automatically re-centered? 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted October 15, 2009 Flat textures are aligned on a 64x64 grid. It's just how it's done. It's a design spec of Doom, not a limit of Doom Builder. Some ports (such as ZDoom) allow you to change flat alignment for sectors, but that requires either scripting (ACS) or using a different map format (UDMF) because there is simply no way to store UV adjustments in a sector otherwise. 0 Share this post Link to post

You could export the teleport flat as a BMP file, edit the required pixel offset in (MSPaint can do that) and import it into your wad - preferably under another name. 0 Share this post Link to post
