What the hell is the difference between Texture 1 and Texture 2. Why would I Put a new texture in one and not the other. I feel that I cannot go on making textures until I know what the difference is.

I think he means he can't tell the difference between 2 textures and he wants to know what the difference is but I don't know.

OH! He he. Sorry! Iím using wintex 3.4 so most of you probably donít know what Iím talking about. It gives the option to make a texture 1 or texture 2 texture. Maybe I should just shut my mouth and use wintex 4.3 instead.

Each texture lump contains texture information, there is two so that the designers could store the shareware only textures in one (1) and the registered textures in the other (2.) You can add info (new textures) to any of the two, it doesn't matter, doom (or whatever doom-based engine) will read both lumps at startup.

I would love to help you out on your textures. Are you making a Total Conversion, or are you making just a level or something?
